Ceramic Speed Insulate Series

Is the obvious choice for modern electrical motors

Innovations in material science are changing a lot of industries these years. Ceramic materials are proving stronger and much more durable than e.g. steel – and this impacts your industry, too.

CeramicSpeed Insulate

Hybrid ball bearings are the future for manufacturers of electrical motors. The demand for stronger, more durable and longer-lasting bearings for electrical motors is on the rise – and in many applications, conventional steel balls in motor bearings simply won’t cut it.

Non-conductive balls

CeramicSpeed Insulate ball bearings are custom made for electrical motors and your guarantee against damage caused by stray currents. The ceramic balls used for this product series are non-conductive and have an insulating ability of 15 kV per mm – higher than that of atmospheric air.

4 to 8 times longer life than steel

CeramicSpeed is a dedicated and leading supplier of hybrid ball bearings. With a strong presence in the European market, we are rapidly becoming the industry’s most trusted supplier of advanced bearing solutions. Constantly at the forefront of technological development and innovation, we offer the widest range of premium bearings.

Ceramic Speed Corrotec Series

FDA-approved bearings for the food industry

Production equipment requires food-grade certification, and any breakdown will cause costly production stops. CeramicSpeed Corrotec Ball Bearings are FDA & EN1935 approved, manufactured using stainless steel rings with ceramic balls and lubricants approved for use in the food industry.

CeramicSpeed Corrotec

Hybrid ball bearings are your perfect partner for food production equipment. They outlast and outperform common bearing types and have a bearing life of 4 to 8 times longer than steel bearings. The two times harder balls will also show a much higher resistance to contamination/particles as those will be crushed. The combination of steel and ceramic brings the unique advantage of avoiding the risk of smearing. For a dry contact situation, the friction coefficient between steel and silicon nitride (Si3N4) is lower than for steel to steel and micro-welding does not occur. Therefore hybrid bearings generate much lower friction even with a very thin film of lubrication.

Reduced MRO costs

Production stops cost money. Lots of it. Planned or unplanned, servicing of your production equipment disrupts your production flow and impacts your competitive power negatively. Hybrid Ball Bearings eliminate frequent replacements, production stops, or unforeseen breakdowns due to bearing failure and they will cause a noticeable reduction in your company’s MRO spending.

Ceramic Speed Xtreme Series

Tougher than the rest

The CeramicSpeed Xtreme ball bearing series are designed for applications in contaminated environments where particles can penetrate the bearing and affect the bearing performance.

With an unmatched hardness, the hybrid balls tolerate a high degree of contamination, crushing the particles that penetrate into the bearing races. In addition, their materials make them highly resistant against water and detergents because Silicon Nitride does not corrode.

Full Ceramic Bearings Series

CeramicSpeed Full Ceramic Bearings are specifically engineered for use in extremely high- temperature environments, offering outstanding hardness, a low friction coefficient, lightweight characteristics, and exceptional resistance to corrosion and chemicals.

CeramicSpeed’s Full Ceramic Bearings feature Zirconium dioxide (ZrO2) bearing rings. Zirconium dioxide is an exceptionally tough ceramic material with heat expansion properties closely resembling those of steel, simplifying the design of shaft- and housing fits.

CeramicSpeed`s Full Ceramic bearings are fitted with superior Silicium Nitride balls that boast the highest achievable surface finish and roundness. This combination of Zirconium rings and silicon nitride balls results in a bearing solution with a low friction coefficient, reduced mass, and remarkable resistance to water, chemicals, and other aggressive media, presenting clear advantages over traditional steel bearings.

Whether applied in maritime, aerospace, or high-temperature environments, CeramicSpeed’s Full Ceramic Bearings stand out as reliable, efficient, and long-lasting components. Their durability and performance make them a preferred choice for various industries, ensuring optimal functionality in demanding applications.

Technical Solutions

Black Oxide: Superior Protection for Harsh Environments

The Black Oxide coating is a versatile solution that enhances corrosion resistance and guards against abrasive wear, making it suitable for extreme conditions involving exposure to dirt, moisture, and chemicals. Its strong bond to the bearing surfaces ensures long-lasting protection, preventing failure caused by harsh environments. Black Oxide is especially beneficial for applications that demand reliable performance in high-contaminant settings.

HardCoat: Durability in Extreme Stress

HardCoat is specifically engineered to handle heavy loads and abrasive conditions. This coating enhances surface hardness, allowing bearings to withstand the extreme conditions found in industries like mining and construction. With increased embeddability, HardCoat effectively manages contaminants, protecting the bearing surfaces and extending operational life. It is an essential upgrade for equipment operating in dust-filled or high-impact environments.

CorroCoat: Resistance to Moisture and Corrosion

In moisture-rich environments like food and beverage production, CorroCoat provides exceptional corrosion resistance and is able to withstand the extreme conditions. Its durable protective layer ensures that coated bearings maintain their performance despite frequent washdowns and exposure to humidity. The combination of CorroCoat’s protective properties and CeramicSpeed’s precision engineering makes it a reliable solution for industries requiring hygienic, corrosion-resistant bearings.

SlipCoat: Innovative Dry Film Lubrication

SlipCoat is a groundbreaking solution that enables bearings to operate with intermittent dry lubrication or no lubrication at all. Developed in response to a specific customer challenge, CeramicSpeed’s engineers innovated SlipCoat to achieve exceptional performance in environments where even a single drop of lubricant is unacceptable. SlipCoat-treated bearings are tested to run more than 6,000 hours of operation without lubrication, maintaining excellent performance and reliability.

CeramicSpeed SLT – The Best Weapon Against Bearing Failure

CeramicSpeed SLT is a polymer matrix saturated with lubrication oil. The matrix retains oil on the functional surfaces of the bearing under even the most harsh conditions, while at the same time preventing moist and foreign particles from entering the bearing.
CeramicSpeed SLT is food-grade approved and can be combined with most sealed bearing types. In combination with stainless rings and our high-grade ceramic balls, it ends up being an extremely durable and maintenance-free solution for demanding applications in many industries.

CeramicSpeed Bearings for Motorsport

Road and laboratory tests prove that CeramicSpeed Bearings last between three and five times longer than other ceramic bearings on the market. This is due to the choice of raw materials and the precision of our bearings.

Every part has been specifically chosen and scrupulously developed to create a product of the highest possible quality and longevity.

A top speed increased with minimum of 5 km/h and up to 8 km/h speaks for itself. In motorsport, this can make the difference between winning and losing.

No matter if it’s road bikes, speedway bikes or cars, we are committed to manufacturing and delivering the best ceramic bearing products in the industry. And by best, we mean long lifetime, low friction and unmatched performance.

Engine – Increase acceleration and improve drivability

When upgrading an engine with a CeramicSpeed Bearing, engine performance will benefit greatly from lower rotating weight, increased stiffness, and reduced internal friction. As a driver, you will experience faster acceleration, more power and improved drivability.
The CeramicSpeed Balls used in all their bearings are proven to be 4 times smoother than a steel ball, which puts them into a league of their own when it comes to reduced friction in the bearing. And a bearing that is exposed to less friction will have an increased lifetime. Within the go-kart and motocross disciplines that use ball bearings in the engines, this can mean remarkably less engine bearing replacements and service.

Wheel Hub – Reduce friction and increase stiffness with CeramicSpeed Wheel Hub Bearings

A CeramicSpeed wheel hub upgrade offers reduced friction and increased stiffness in the bearings. In some cases, friction is reduced with up to 90% in the bearing. Lower friction equals faster acceleration, higher speed and reduced fuel consumption.

Impact resistance

In addition to high speed, CeramicSpeed Bearings also perform on a very different factor; impact resistance. All track cars have one thing in common – the need to be able to resist impact from the track.

Unlike rally cars, track cars are built with stiff settings. Stiff settings mean that the impact on the wheel bearings makes the lubrication layer on the bearing break which leads to steel rubbing against steel. This results in micro welding that damages the balls and races. This doesn’t happen with a ceramic ball, due to its non-conductive nature and perfectly smooth surface.

Suspension

The bearings used in a suspension don’t make elements turn around, instead, they make them move up and down. A movement that requires a lot from the bearing and demands low friction and high impact-resistance. With a low-friction CeramicSpeed Bearing, the suspension can move even faster and thereby recreate contact with the road or track faster than with a high-friction steel bearing. This means that time lost “in the air” decreases and in practice, this means saved seconds.

Doubling service life

Just like the bearings used in wheel hubs, bearings used for suspension are under a high amount of pressure and impact from elements moving up-and-down. A traditional steel bearing will diminish under this pressure. A CeramicSpeed Bearing, however, can resist high impact due to the nature of its composition, raising the standard of impact-resistance, and doubling the service life, particularly in a high-pressure application like suspension.

Transmission – Fighting contamination

When it comes to transmission, there’s a need to lose as little efficiency as possible, and that’s where steel bearings fail. A bearing that can’t protect itself against contamination will soon start eroding and during this process, the efficiency loss will increase.

With ceramic bearings – ball bearings as well as roller bearings – contamination inside the transmission is not as big a threat. Whilst the transmission is constantly exposed to contamination from wear on splines and sprockets, a CeramicSpeed Bearing is made of materials able to withstand contaminants, maintaining a smooth bearing race, even under severe conditions.
