The Lee Company is a world leader in miniature precision fluid control products for industries like aerospace and defence, automotive, diagnostics, industrial and off-highway, medical equipment, scientific instruments, motorsports, oil and gas, power generation, and many others— providing engineered solutions for some of the world’s largest and most innovative companies.

The Lee Company consists of three main product divisions.

Electro Fluidic Systems (EFS)

The Lee Company EFS division has a range of products typically used in medical and scientific instrumentation, including:

  • In vitro diagnostics
  • Respiratory therapy
  • Lab automation
  • Patient simulators
  • Renal dialysis
  • Drug discovery
  • DNA sequencing and synthesis
  • Environmental monitoring

Typical applications of our products in these instruments include pressure driven flow in microfluidics, precision droplet dispensing, reagent dispensing, directing the flow of gases for detection or calibration, and diverting fluid to waste. These products include solenoid valves, pumps, manifolds, and other fluid control components.

The Range
  • Fluid Control Solenoid Valves in 2- or 3-way flow configurations for the flow of air, gas or mild liquids. These come in the baseline design (LHD), latching (LHL), and quiet series (LHQ)
  • Dispensing Solenoid Valves in 2-way, normally closed, axial flow configuration, and feature high speed operation that delivers drop-on-demand performance.
  • Isolation Solenoid Valves designed to flow aggressive fluids, isolation solenoid valves are chemically inert and engineered so that the sensitive internal solenoid components are separated from the flow path.
  • Piezoelectric Micro Pumps that are highly precise pneumatic micropumps that generate pressure or vacuum in a small (29 mm), silent, vibration-free form factor. Their infinite turndown ratio and pulsation-free flow allow control over gases or liquids (indirectly) with incredibly fine resolution, enabling a multitude of innovative applications. They are available with or without electronics for added simplicity.
  • Fixed Volume Dispense Pumps, solenoid-driven, positive displacement pumps with integrated check valves that provide repeatable, fixed dispense volumes in a small lightweight package.
  • Variable Volume Pumps, stepper-motor driven, positive displacement pumps that aspirate a volume of fluid and then dispense that fluid volume out in smaller, highly precise increments, with full dispense volumes ranging from 50 to 3000 μL.
  • Manifolds, Tubing, Check Valves, Orifices and Components, threaded tubing assemblies with low internal volume and low shear, as well as pre-assembled manifolds, precision orifices, check valves (for installation into tubing, plastic, or metal), safety screen filters, adapters, and other inert fluid control components.

Precision Micro Hydraulics (THH)

The six Precision Hydraulic product groups supply expansion plugs, high pressure solenoid valves, single and multi-orifice restrictors, nozzles, safety screens, check valves, relief valves, flow metering valves, shuttle valves and pumps to a wide range of industries. These include hydraulic and pneumatic applications such as:

  • Solenoid Valves, The Lee Company range of solenoid valves are the smallest on the market delivering space and weight saving advantages as well as performing in the most demanding of conditions.
  • Positive Displacement Pumps, self-priming radial and axial piston pumps for liquid flow requirements such as fuel delivery.

Industrial Micro Hydraulics (IMH)

The Industrial Microhydraulics (IMH) Division was established to adapt proven design concepts to meet the higher volume production, performance, and cost requirements of automotive, industrial hydraulics, and medical applications. These products include a wide variety of plugs, valves, restrictors, and safety screens designed and manufactured for ease of automated installation, which is of paramount importance to these industries.

The Range
  • Check Valves, to eliminate Back Flow in systems.
  • Relief Valves, protect systems from over pressurisation or to attenuate pressure spikes.
  • Orifices, provide reliable, highly accurate flow resulting in consistent system performance.
  • Shuttle Valves, provide system isolation in hydraulic manifolds.
  • Lee Betplugs®, are used to seal drilled holes without the use of threads, o-rings or sealant.
  • Safety Screens, provide “last chance” protection against rogue contamination.
  • Restrictor Checks & Flow Controls, restrictor checks are functionally an orifice in series with a check valve, providing metered flow in one direction and no flow in the other.
  • Products in Fittings, the IMH Group offers our highly accurate orifices, check and relief valves, and safety screens installed into a variety of plastic fittings.
