Deep groove ball bearings (DGBB)
ADR high precision ball bearings allow you to meet the most stringent technical standards while maintaining an exceptional level of performance. Angular contact ball bearings (ACBB)
Typically mounted in preloaded pairs, the ACBB is suited for higher axial loads, ADR Specialises in Non-Separable and Separable ACBB.
The Non-Separable ACBB design allows for the integration of more balls, increasing the load ratings, higher axial ratings can be achieved through larger contact angles. Separable angular contact ball bearings are delivered mounted, but their inner ring may be separated from the rest of the ball bearing to facilitate its mounting on the system.
Thin section ball bearings
Available as DGBB, ACBB and 4-point contact bearings the thin section bearings dimensions are the perfect choice when space and weight savings are key considerations.
- Inch series
- Inch series super duplex
- Metric series
- Metric series super duplex
- Super thin section four points of contact
Super duplex ball bearings improve the rotating precision and the friction torque compared to a conventional universally ground pair. Operation and running accuracy is improved, better performances are obtained and ball bearing life is longer.
ADR INTEGRATED BALL BEARINGS
ADR has created the integrated range to simplify and optimise your system and production with unnecessary adjustments and assemblies. This also can deliver better control of rotation precision, preloading, torque and stiffness and a repeatable behaviour.
ADR Integrated Ball Bearings are currently available in the three different types.
- ADR X-Space ball bearings
- Specific ball bearings (for high precision systems)
- Sealed integrated bearings (for high precision systems)
ADR X-SPACE Ball Bearings
ADR created the ADR X-SPACE range to better respond quickly to requests for space applications such as Solar Array Drive Mechanisms (SADM), Antenna Pointing Mechanisms (APM), filter wheels, mirror mechanisms and more. The ADR X-SPACE range is available off the shelf with a set of features regularly used for space applications. This range exists in super duplex version for metric and inch thin section ball bearings. By creating this range ADR can improve development times and cost while maintaining their products exceptional level of performance.

Sealed Integrated Bearings (for high precision systems)
To provide even more guarantees to its customers on the performance and reliability of its systems, ADR has developed a new bespoke technology in integrated seals for rotating systems. The integration of a dynamic seal on the ball bearing brings a controlled sealing function in terms of leak rate and repeatable low friction torque. The performance of established parameters such as friction torque, stiffness, leakage rate, is systematically checked.

SERVOMOTORS AND MOTORISED BEARINGS
ADR has developed equipment and sub-systems such as servomotors, motorised bearings and positioners to meet new technological requirements bringing over 25 years of experience and expertise in high precision and performance demanding applications.

Servomotors
The range of servomotor and motorised bearings has been designed with the aim of reducing mass and overall dimensions as well as achieving high rigidity of the shaft. Servomotors have very high angular precision and making them perfect for demanding mechanical and vibratory environments.
The servomotor and the motorised bearings bring the following benefits:
- A hollow shaft for central routing of equipment and connections;
- A high precision angular position sensor which is integrated into the servomotor range;
- Motorised bearings architecture and flat, compact, so-called pancake-shaped servomotor;
- High axis velocity thanks to its direct drive architecture and low inertia;
- High torque and high reliability are delivered by the Brushless motor.
ADR has produced 2 standard servomotor sizes you can access below, other sizes upon request.

Motorised Bearings
ADR has developed this carbon composite positioner for the defence and aerospace telecommunications where high positioning accuracy and stable movement is a must for optimal instrument performance.
Benefits:
- A significant reduction of mass using carbon composite parts certified for aeronautical use;
- A positioning on 3 axes which allows high mobility of the antenna and continuous scanning of the pointing zone;
- A reduced and compact overall dimension by the integration of small section ball bearings close to the axis;
- A reduction of pointing defects through precise axis production;
- Maintenance and precise positioning of a 5 kg payload. On request, ADR may adapt the architecture according to the mass.
